TIPS: To ensure that every child has an opportunity and responsibility assign two students per job. This also encourages job-sharing or working together as a partnership. You can either designate the jobs to students, have them choose or apply for a position A good idea is to rotate the jobs either daily, weekly, or quarterly, it’s your choice. You can make the transitions easier by having a “training” session by the previous student to help the next student to do the job efficiently.
If you want your students to become responsible while building a community spirit, give them responsibilities. Classroom Jobs are a great way for students to take responsibility for their classroom.

Martin Luther King: Martin Luther King Day: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Kid-Friendly Dreams and Quotes Posters with Cards. This resource is a fantastic investment for the celebration of Dr Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday on January 15th, for Black History Month and for general use any time of year. When I created these posters and quote cards I thought about making this resource meaningfully appropriate for themes that emanate out of Dr King's speeches. Freedom, nonviolence, love, hope, equality and unity are just a few ideas that are suggested in these posters. I also added a kid-friendly touch to some posters to break down Dr' King's messages for the lower elementary students. A writing activity sheet is also included.
This resource contains the following elements:
We are Witnessing an American Dream Posters (11 kid-friendly posters)
24“I Have a Dream” MLK Quotes Posters

Letter Writing:
Are you looking for alphabet writing sheets, tracing mats and playdough learning mats? Well you have found just that! These writing sheets were created with versatility in mind. You can print and laminate sheets to work in any of the three ways outlined above. Another option is to print and tie sheets together using punched holes then place in your early writing centers. All your kids will need to do is use the dots as a guide to begin writing each letter, getting as close as possible to the lines for uniformity.
